Navigating with the Mouse
All keyboard navigation features in the rung are also available with the mouse. You can select an element and its insertion point directly by clicking the mouse.
| Cursor | Action | Representation |
|---|---|---|
| Selects the element and the upper insertion point | ||
| Selects the element and the lower insertion point | ||
| Selects the element and the previous insertion point | ||
| Selects the element and the next insertion point |
It is also possible to define the insertion point when inserting a new element with the mouse, by dragging and releasing the mouse from the palette. As we drag elements onto the rung, the selection and insertion point follow the mouse cursor, determining the location where the new block will be inserted. The following figure illustrates the insertion of elements with the mouse.

Sequence for inserting elements with the mouse:
- Select the element from the palette you want to insert by clicking on it and holding the mouse button down.

During mouse insertion, it is also possible to select a group of elements. To do this, while dragging the previously selected element, press and hold the Ctrl key. While the Ctrl key is pressed, the mouse will select insertion points relative to groups.
