Description
The WEG MVW01 is a medium-voltage variable speed drive designed for high-power electric motor control in demanding industrial applications. Built for systems that require reliability, operational safety and energy efficiency, the MVW01 provides precise speed and torque control for medium-voltage motors, supporting applications with power levels up to 55,520 HP and voltages up to 6.9 kV.
Based on high-voltage IGBT technology and multilevel NPC/HNPC topologies, the MVW01 combines robust performance with flexible configuration options, including air- or water-cooled arrangements and protection features suitable for medium-voltage environments. The drive can be supplied as a standard product or engineered according to specific project requirements, allowing adaptations in cabinet dimensions, electrical and mechanical interfaces, optional components, performance characteristics and installation needs.
The MVW01 also supports advanced operation and monitoring resources through a touchscreen HMI, industrial communication protocols and connectivity features for asset management and predictive maintenance. Its design makes it suitable for critical industrial processes where motor control, process availability, application flexibility and long-term serviceability are essential.
Refer to the MVW01 user manual for detailed product information, installation requirements, parameter descriptions, and electrical specifications.
